Macaroni and Cheese
For a while, mac and cheese was mainly a southern side dish for Thanksgiving. However, it is now almost nationally used on Turkey Day. There are endless recipes out there for mac and cheese, but here is a list of 26 unique ways to make it! https://www.tasteofhome.com/collection/thanksgiving-mac-and-cheese/
Sweet potatoes and or yams are a staple of the Thanksgiving dinner table. The reason they are grouped together, is because you really would only have one or the other. The most common type of yams are candied yams, and the most delicious type of sweet potatoes is sweet potato casserole with marshmallows. Again, these are items where you would most likely only have one or the other, and it all comes down to preference. Would you rather have the sweet cake like texture of corn bread, or are you looking to potentially make a turkey sandwich with your biscuit. Whichever it is, you can’t go wrong, and you better make sure your table has a lot of butter!
I can almost guarantee that you’ve never had this but can promise that you must try it! Essentially it is your traditional Thanksgiving stuffing, but soft pretzels are used instead of the classic bread base.
